We all know we have to apply SPF, but what does it all actually mean?!?!
SPF rating is based on how long your sunscreen protected skin takes to redden when exposed to UV, compared to unprotected skin. So it’s the multiplication in time of exposure you can expect before you burn.
If your unprotected skin burns in 10 minutes when you are outside, SPF 30 will provide you 30 times longer, assuming you have applied it correctly - meaning now, you can stay outside for roughly 300 minutes before you start to burn.
15 MINUTES : Time it takes for sunscreen to be absorbed into the skin and start to take effect, apply before leaving the house.
BROAD SPECTRUM : Always only buy a broad spectrum sunscreen to protect from both UVA and UVB rays.
SHOT GLASS : The amount of product needed to completely protect your skin.
REAPPLY : Every 80 minutes, or sooner after Swimming or Sweating.
3 YEARS : How long my favorite spray tan friendly sunscreen remains fully effective (all natural, oil free) and WONT strip your sunless tan! Sunbum.
Nothing ages or harms your skin more than the Sun.
